In the fall of 2025, Tonebenders’ hosts Tim Muirhead & Renè Coronado travelled to Mexico City to host a talk with 3 members of the Pan’s Labyrinth sound team. The event was to celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary. Re-Recording Mixer Jaime Baksht, Supervising Sound Editor/Sound Designer Martín Hernández and Sound Editor Alejandro Quevedo, chase down their fond memories of working on director Guillermo del Toro’s modern day masterpiece. This episode also features a quick message from Guillermo himself! This talk was recorded in front of an enthusiastic room made up of the Mexican sound community.
