200 – Triangle of Sadness

Andreas Franck and Bent Holm join us to talk about their work as Supervising Sound Editors and Re-Recording Mixers on Director Ruben Östlund’s amazing new film – Triangle of Sadness. They tell us about how they used sound to juxtapose expected emotions and add lots of humour. A major scene in the film involves a yacht caught in a massive destructive storm, but we never see an exterior shot, leaving the sound to carry the heavy load of conveying the power of the weather outside. This is a fun talk.
